W poniedziałek 1 maja w nowojorskim Metropolitan Museum of Art odbył się bal Costume Institute Gala, czyli MET Gala. W tę jedną noc gwiazdy prezentują kreacje tworzone specjalne dla nich przez projektantów. Temat nawiązuj do wcześniej ogłoszonego tematu. W tym roku bal poświęcono japońskiej projektantce Rei Kawakubo, założycielce marki Comme des Garçons.

Gospodarzami byli obok Anny Wintour, naczelnej Vogue'a Katy Perry i Pharrell Williams. Na schodach MET pojawiły się m.in.
